Skin Care This Winter !


The winters are back once again and so is the dry skin. Moisture is the basic requirement for beautiful skin, but the air in winters & the long hours we sit under the sun, leave our skin dry, dull and lifeless. Dryness ruins the suppleness of the skin and leads to prematured ageing & wrinkles. Moisture makes the outer layer of our skin soft and fresh. You can say goodbye to the skin problems this winter; all you have to do is to take care of a few things and the reward you get is a soft, lively & youthful skin!

— Add a pinch of turmeric powder in a tbsp. of oatmeal and a few drops of sesame oil and make a paste of it. Apply this on your face for 10 mnts. & wash with lukewarm water afterwards. Your dry skin will be replaced by soft skin!

— Boil two pieces of orange into 2 tbsp. of water. Cool it and then pass it through a sieve. Apply this on your face for 10 mnts. and then wash this with lukewarm water.

— Take lemon juice, glycerine & rose water in equal quantities and mix them. Apply on all the exposed portions of your body.

— Mix coconut oil and sandal oil in equal quantities. Apply this mixture on your skin and wash after 10 mnts. It will stop the irritation caused by dry skin and skin will become softer & smoother.

— Take few drops of rose water, olive oil and mix it with a little unboiled milk. Apply this mixture softly on your skin. Bathe in lukewarm water after 10 mnts, the dryness of your skin is gone!

— Take cucumber & potato juices in equal quantities and add a few drops of glycerine and rose water in it. Apply this mixture on your face, neck, hands etc. and bathe in lukewarm water after 10 mnts.

— Soak 6 almonds in to the water overnight. Peel them off and crush them. Add 2 sp. of fresh cream and a few drops of rose water & put this mixture into a bottle. Apply it on your body everyday for 5 mnts. and then bathe with lukewarm water. It rejuvenates your skin.

— Mix carrot & tomato juices in equal proportions and apply on face. When it becomes dry, wash it. Your face will get a new glory.

— In winters, always use lukewarm (not hot) water, because the cold water creates a bottleneck for the skin in getting oxygen, as a result the skin becomes dry and gets wrinkles.
