Salted Lassi
This form of lassi is more common in the villages of Punjab. It is prepared by blending yogurt with water and adding salt and other spices to taste. Salty Lassi is spiced with jeera and is a great refreshing drink in the summer.
Ingredients | |
Plain Yoghurt | 3 Cups |
Fresh Finely Chopped Green Chilli | 1 |
Jeera | 1/2 tbsp |
Cold Water | 1 Cup |
Salt & Pepper | To Taste |
Fresh Dhania & Pudina Leaf | To Serve |
Crushed Ice | To Serve |
Method:
- Pour the yoghurt and water into a blender and blend for one minute.
- Add in chilli, Jeera, salt and pepper and blend together.
- Serve over crushed ice.
- Garnish with a sprinkle of Jeera powder and finely chopped Dhania & Pudina.
