Salted Lassi

This form of lassi is more common in the villages of Punjab. It is prepared by blending yogurt with water and adding salt and other spices to taste. Salty Lassi is spiced with jeera and is a great refreshing drink in the summer.

Ingredients
Plain Yoghurt
3 Cups
Fresh Finely Chopped Green Chilli
1
Jeera 1/2 tbsp
Cold Water 1 Cup
Salt & Pepper
To Taste
Fresh Dhania & Pudina Leaf
To Serve
Crushed Ice To Serve

 

Method:

  1. Pour the yoghurt and water into a blender and blend for one minute.
  2. Add in chilli, Jeera, salt and pepper and blend together.
  3. Serve over crushed ice.
  4. Garnish with a sprinkle of Jeera powder and finely chopped Dhania & Pudina.
