Dal Jalebi is made from a variety of Urad flour. Sugar syrup and saffron is added for colour.
|Urad Dal ||1.5 Cup|
|Maida ||3/4 Cup|
|Sugar ||2 Cup|
|Saffron and Cardamom ||2-3 Drops|
|Oil||For Deep Frying|
- Soak the mixture of Dal, Maida, salt and curd 24 hours to 36 hours to ferment.
- Make sugar syrup with sugar, water, saffron and cardamom and keep on warm.
- Pour batter into squeeze cone and squeeze jalebi shape into hot oil. Fry till golden. Blot excess oil.
- Soak jalebis in syrup for 20 seconds and remove and layer them in a plate.
- Serve warm.
