6 Must Try Dishes When In Amritsar

    Food, Must Try

While Punjab is known for its cultural diversity, Punjabi people are known for their diverse taste in food. Food is everything to them and they know their priorities right. For patriots; Amritsar is Wagah Border, for pilgrims; Amritsar is Golden Temple, and for Foodies; Amritsar is street food. Amritsar (or we can say culinary capital of India) gives us major finger-licking food goals. If you happen to visit Amritsar sooner or later, these are names of some exotic food dishes that you must try. I know, I will be showered with blessings for suggesting you all some best dishes you will ever have in your life.

    1. Langar Prasad:

Beginning with Langar Prasad, you must be wondering already that it is not a dish. Yes, that’s true. But when in Amritsar, start your journey to explore food with Langar Prasad at Golden Temple. It is prepared in the largest free kitchen in the world. You can volunteer to cook as well as can even have a meal. A simple meal consisting of a Dal, Chapati, Rice, and Kheer is served to thousands of Pilgrims every day. To add the cherry on the cake, you cannot miss ghee-laden Kadha Prasad (Halwa) at any cost before making an exit. Langar ka Prasad

    2. Amritsari Kulcha:

Kulcha is the synonym of the city, Amritsar. It is basically a butter drenched maida bread baked in tandoor with a stuffing of cauliflower and potato. Served alongside Chana Masala and onion slices to give you a perfect breakfast experience.

It is served with a variety of flavours such as Kesar, Mango, mint lassi, etc. Lassi is the best drink to beat the summer and is easily available in every Indian restaurant today. So, a tour to the streets of Amritsar with a glass of Lassi is highly recommended.
