KHICHDI is comfort food. It is traditional Indian food which is easily digested.

Soaked Rice 250 gms
Soaked Moong Dal 50 gm
Chopped Onions 4
Haldi Powder 1 tsp
Lal Mirch Powder 1 tsp
Salt To taste
Water 3 Cups
Ghee For Deep Frying



  1. Heat the oil and fry chopped onions till it turns brown.
  2. Add  Moong Dal and rice.
  3. Add  salt, Haldi powder & Lal Mirch powder.
  4. Add the water, cover and cook over medium heat.
  5. Serve hot with curd .
