Vegetable Pulao
‘Vegetable Pulao’ is an all time family favourite! A North Indian rice preparation, mixed vegetable pulao makes for a delicious and simple main course rice preparation. Best served with raita.
Ingredients | |
Rice | 1 cup |
Sweet Peas | 1/4 cup |
Diced Carrot | 1/4 cup |
Chopped Onion | 1/4 cup |
Cottage Cheese | 1 cup |
Chopped Cabbage | 1 cup |
Dal Chini | 1 piece |
Kali Mirch | 2 spoons (small) |
Jeera | 1/2 spoon |
Ghee | 3 tablespoons |
Tej Patta | 1 – 2 |
METHOD
- Wash rice & boil.
- Boil & cook peas and carrot separately. Add a spoon of ghee in cauldron. Add boiled vegetables and salt and cook for 3 – 4 minutes.
- Cook cabbage in a spoon of ghee and little salt.
- Add onion, cereal, sugar, jeera, Kali Mirch and clove and fry till onion is brown. Add rice to it and cook for 2-3 minutes.
- Remove from fire and add vegetables and cheese.
Note :Note: For preparing Pulao, fry onion, jeera, cloves, dal chini brown in ghee and directly add vegetables and cook for 2-3 minutes. Add rice and double the water when rice is about to cook, put boiled cabbage and mix. Remove from fire.
